05.09.2010 15:11Vernissage - Could not connect to the web serviceHello, i'm using the vernisage module for joomla 1.5. i've integrated the module in a local installation of my website and everything was fine. now i've uploaded the site to the webserver and i get the error message "Could not connect to the web service". after checking all the installed modules i'm shure, that the error message is produced by the vernisage module... does anyone has an idea how to solve the prob? is there some information about server incompatibility (e.g. for php version etc..) thanks in advance... peso |

There seem to be 2 possible connection types. curl and sockets. The error message occurs when it uses sockets. Maybe on your local system curl is installed and on your live server it's npt. Not sure why you get an error with sockets, though. Maybe a restriction on your server. You can check in the Joomla! backend if you have curl installed. Help -> System Info -> PHP Information There should be something like this: curl cURL support enabled cURL Information libcurl/7.15.5 OpenSSL/0.9.8d zlib/1.2.3 libidn/0.6.8 Regards Achim -- Achim Fischer Codingfish Limited www.codingfish.com |
