No valid database connection

Hello

Since today I get the following error, when looking at the details of an entry:

No valid database connection You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'condition FROM `jos_marketplace_entries` WHERE id='1'' at line 1 SQL=SELECT condition FROM `jos_marketplace_entries` WHERE id='1'

I did un- and reinstall marketplace 2.0.3 without success. I get all the time this error.

Re: No valid database connection

I have just found this comment in a forum:

When using php5 you can use mysqli to increase the speed of your database. This also fixes the no valid database connection problem.

You can set it in the global configuration under the server tab!

It could be a solution. But I'm not shure wether there will be problems with my Joomla Installation.

Hi Patrik,

I have just found this comment in a forum:...

What was causing that problem?

I always use mysqli. On italobikes.com I use JoomFish and Marketplace 2 with the mysqli driver and it's running perfect.

Check it out on a test system.

Achim

The problems started as soon as I installed Joomfish. After changing to mysqli the sql error message disapeard.

So it shouldn't make any problems if I change from mysql to mysqli on a working livesite?
